29th Aug at The Salisbury and South Wilts C S Open show under all rounder Joan Sheldon  - Sandcliffe Northern Lights (Jenny) was placed 1st in Boxer Junior. She was awarded Best Puppy in Breed and went on to get 4th In the Working Puppy Group.
Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe (Robyn) was placed 2nd in Boxer Post graduate.

21st Aug at the Welsh Kennel club -  Sandcliffe Kiss of Life for Jimbren (Oakley) was placed 3rd in Novice dog.
and Willrait Early Biird for Sandcliffe (Robyn) did well and was placed 1st in Novice Bitch, under breed specialist Pat Heath
That was my first 1st prize at champ show level. Wow ,think I will frame the card and hope I can get another soon,lol.

2 Aug  at Paingnton - Sandcliffe Northern Lights (Jenny) was placed 4th in minor puppy bitch, under breed specialist Wendy Mitchell

1st Aug at British Boxer Club under allrounder Marion Spavin - Ch Veraleas Dancing Deano at Jimbren (Woody son) won 2nd in Open dog and went on to be awarded the RCC .
Well done to all of Deano's connections.

27th June at the Poole C C Open show under allrounder Colin Richardson,
Sandcliffe Northern Lights(Jenny) was placed 3rd in Boxer junior.
Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe (Robyn) was placed 4th in Boxer Post Graduate.

20th June at The Southampton and District C A under all rounder  Michael Quinney.
Sandcliffe Northern Lights (Jenny) was placed 2nd in Boxer Puppy and 1st under breed specialist Martin Wyles in the A/V working puppy.
Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe (Robyn) was placed 1st in Boxer Junior.
I was thrilled for Dawn Taylor and Alan Ellis who was placed 1st Boxer Open with their dog Sandcliffe Fun in the Dark(Trinny's litter brother and Jenny's uncle) and then went on to win the BOB in the challenge .Well done Turbo! 

12th June at The Boxer Society of Ireland under Int Judge Maritha Ostlund-Holmsten from Sweden.
3 of Ch/Ir Ch Sandcliffe Snog in the Fog at Jimbren JW (Woody) progeny won Green star awards today.
Dog Green Star,BOB and BIS was awarded to  Burden Cosmopolitan (Robyn's Uncle) owned by Mr and Mrs Wyse.
Bitch Green Star was awarded to Jamarow We Believe in Magic ,owned by Mr and Mrs Hamilton.
Reserve Bitch Green Star was awarded to Ir Ch Jimbren Top Shelf J/Ch EW09, owned by Mr and Mrs Hare.
Many congratulations to the all the breeders, owners ,and handlers.
I am so HUGELY proud of all of Woody's kids. He may be gone but he certainty has left a wonderful legacy through his progeny. See Woodys' page for photographs

9th June at the Beanos Cotswold Boxer match. Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe (Robyn) won the Novice class.
Well done to Celia who won the adult class and Best in Match with Kingswick Tornado at Rozenot (Ozzie).

5th June at The South Western Boxer Club Open Show
Sandcliffe Northern Lights (Jenny) was placed 1st in the 6 - 8 mnth category special puppy bitch stakes under Int Judge Mrs Hubor
and 1st again in the Open show in Minor puppy bitch under her partner Int Judge Mr Hubor.
I was thrilled to bits when she went on to win Best Puppy Bitch.
Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe (Robyn) was placed 5th in Novice bitch.
I'm pleased to report that Robyn was heart tested today and was graded 0 - 1

4th June at the Taunton and District Premier show.
Sandcliffe Northern Lights (Jenny) was placed 3rd in Boxer Puppy Bitch under Mrs Rose and 4th in the Puppy stakes under Dennis Coxall.

May 10

30th May at the Bath Champ show. Willrait Early Bird for Sandecliffe (Robyn) was placed 5th in Junior Bitch under Mrs Searle.

12th May was Beano's monthly match night, and I was chuffed to bits when the judge Lesley  Bryan awarded Sandcliffe Northern Lights (Jenny) Best baby Puppy and Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe (Robyn) Best Novice.

3rd May - South Wales Boxer club open show under Bobby Strawthorn.
Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe (Robyn) was placed 2nd in Novice bitch.
Sandcliffe Sunkissed Rose (Twig) was placed 1st in Post Graduate bitch

17th April - Working and Pastoral breeds of Wales Champ show under breed specialist Walker Miller, Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe (Robyn) was placed 4th in junior bitch.

5th April was my 6th Judging appointment for Eastwood K A at the Newark and Notts showground.
I found my BOB from the Open Class, Sonshoby Chardonnay at Farvalley.
I was thrilled for her owner when she went on to win Working Group 1 under Vic Salt.
I'm very much looking forward to my next appointment next year for Dorset County C S.

4th April, Chippenham and District C S under breed specialist Val Pack Davidson.
Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe (Robyn) was placed 2nd in Junior.
Sandcliffe Sunkissed Rose was placed 2nd in Open.
Well done to Robyn's litter sister, Willrait Entrechat and uncle Jimbren Strides ahead for Skelder who won the awards today.

28th March - Bridgwater and District  C .S Premier open show.
Willrait Early Bird For Sandcliffe (Robyn) had a great day out today. She was placed 1st in Boxer Puppy and awarded Best Puppy in Breed under breed specialist Dr Margaret Baynes(Docrema).
She continued to do well and went on to get Working Puppy group 3. 
Willrait Early Bird For Sandcliffe (Robyn) was handled by her breeder Rita Williams today due to my work commitments so I'm especially thrilled for them both.
Thanks must also go again to Celia Jones for helping with the transport.
Great team work guys!

14th March -The British Boxer Club Open Show
Sweeptakes under breed specialist judge Edna Woods -Willrait Early Bird For Sandcliffe (Robyn) was placed 1st in the 10mnth- 12mths puppy bitch .
Open Show under Mark Beardlow Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe (Robyn) was awarded 2nd Puppy Bitch.
Sandcliffe Tempest Storm(Storm) was placed 4th in Novice Bitch.

10th March, Cotswold Beano Match was judged by Gavin Constance(Vineen Boxers) from Australia.
I was over the moon when Sandcliffe Northern Lights (Jenny) was awrded Best baby Puppy on her debut!
even more thrilled when Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe(Robyn) also went on to be awarded Best puppy.

6th Mar -The Boxer Event.
Unfortunatley I was unable to attend this year due to my work commitments but I am thrilled to report that Jimbren Deanos Beanos(Ned) , owned by Brenda and Steve Hare was awarded Best puppy dog at the Mancunian pup of the year.
Jimbren Romance in the Dark at Galicar (Evie) owned in Partnership by Brenda,Steve and Jo Cairns was awarded 3rd place bitch in "The Dog of the year".
Both Ned and Evie's dam is Sandcliffe Tranquil Sky over Jimbren, Litter sister to my own Sandcliffe Diamond Sky.
Well done must also go to two sons by Ch /Ir Ch Sandcliffe Snog in the Fog at Jimbren JW (woody) who were also competing at this years "Dog of the Year",namely CH Verileas Dancing Deano at Jimbren and Burnden Opportunist JW.Both these dogs had done tremendously well to qualify and they were both in the top 5 placed dogs in the country last year. Congratulations to all.
Last but by no means least it was a proud personal moment for Brenda ,Steve and myself when we heard that Ch/Ir Ch Sandcliffe Snog in the Fog at Jimbren JW (Woody) was the runner up top sire for 2009.

28th Feb -  Cheltenham and District C S under all rounder Ken Jessup.
Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe was placed 1st Junior , Best Puppy in Breed and Puppy Working group 4.

20th Feb - London and Home Counties Boxer Club Limit Show under breed specialist J Pye(Burnden)
I decided to give 3 of my girls a run out today, so as you can imagine I was very busy in the ring, but it was well worth the trip.
Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe (Robyn) was placed 2nd in puppy bitch.
Sandcliffe Tempest Storm (Storm) was placed 1st Maiden bitch,
Sandcliffe Sunkissed Rose(Twig) was placed 1st in Graduate bitch.
In the challenge Jackie Drew handled Twig for me while I handled Storm . I was absolutely thrilled to be awarded Reserve best bitch and Reserve Best in Show with Storm.

It is with great honour that i have been voted and accepted onto the Cotswold Boxer Club Committee. Thank You

6th Feb, no shows this weekend as it was a very special day for my good friends Brenda and Steve(Jimbren). They got Married! It was a wonderful joyous occasion.

31st Jan, Henley on Thames open show under allrounder Mary Small - Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe (Robyn) had a super day. Not only did she win the puppy class she was also awarded the BOB! She behaved well for me in the both groups and  I was thrilled when she was awarded 2nd working puppy group.
I would like to finish the month with another well done to a winning Woody son, Jimbren Drunk n dribblin who was the top winning boxer in Ireland for 2009.

23rd Jan, Manchester Champ Show under All rounder Meg Purnell Carpenter - Ch Verileas Dancing Deano at Jimbren (woody son) was placed 2nd open dog and awarded the RCC.Thats 3 in a row, well done Deano!

17th Jan, South Western Boxer Club Open Show - Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe was placed 4th in Puppy Bitch under breed specialist Sue Golds. Special well done to Robyn's dad, Burnden Opportunist JW(Woody son) who was awarded Best in Show. Way to go Asa! Due to my work commitments that day, Robyn was handled by her breeder Rita Williams, thanks Rita. Thanks also to Celia Jones for helping with the transport.

I would like to round off the year with the following news.
Ch Veraleas Dancing Deano at Jimbren (Woody son) was 3rd placed top UK male on Cotswold dog of the year point score and was also 3rd place Boxer Quarterly top dog. Well done to Deano and all his connections.
Well done must also go to another woody son, Burnden Opportunist JW  owned by the Pye family for qualifying for the Cotswold dog of the year.
 
Well done also to half brother / sister Jimbren Deano's Beanos and Jimbren Romance in the Dark at Galicar whose dam is Sandcliffe Tranquil Sky over Jimbren for also qualifying for the Cotswold dog of the year / Mancunian puppy of the year.

30th Dec - Western Super Mare Open Show under breed specialist Jackie Drew - Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe was awarded 2nd in puppy bitch.

20th Dec - Guildford and District CS open show under breed specialist Diane Hannam- Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe, Robyn was awarded 2nd in Puppy.

19th Dec, my 5th judging appointment at the Bristol and District dog club.
I found my BOB from the special yearling Class - Robinsteck Siter Act, RBOB - Gem's Legacy JW SHCM, BOS - Very attracted to Newlaithe, finally BP - Clarkenwells Trade Secret for Uftonponds.
Thank you to all that entered and supported me I was absolutely thrilled with the high quality of entries which made some of the decisions very difficult.
Im very much looking forward to my next judging appointment for Eastwood CS at the Newark and Notts showground on Easter Monday 5th April 2010.

13th Dec 09 -LKA Champ show under breed specialist Barry Alton, Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe, Robyn was placed fifth in minor puppy bitch.
Ch Veraleas Dancing Deano at Jimbren won 1st Open dog and was awarded the RCC.

6th Dec 09 -Cotswold Boxer Club Champ show, Ch Verileas Dancing Deano at Jimbren (Woody son) was placed 2nd Open dog and went on to win the RCC.

Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe - Robyn was awarded 3rd in the catogory 6- 8 Mnth Puppy bitch.

26th November, South Western Boxer Club special Xmas match, Judge for the evening Champ show breed specialist Lynn Davey (Kitwe)
I was absolutely thrilled when Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe - Robyn won the puppy class and went on to be awarded Best Puppy in Match.

22nd November. Camberley and District CS all breeds open show under breed specialist Eillen Kelly(Casemates)
Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe-Robyn was 1st in puppy and was awarded Best Puppy in Breed and Working Puppy group 4. This was Robyn first open show.
Sandcliffe Kiss of Life for Jimbren -Oakley was 2nd in Post Grad.

14th November. South Western Boxer Champ Show. Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe-Robyn was awarded 5th.

17th October. London and Home Counties Champ show. Willrait Early bird for Sandcliffe-Robyns first champ show 4th Minor puppy bitch. Sandcliffe Kiss of Life for Jimbren -Oakley was awarded 3rd in Post Grad dog.

I would like to end this month with a general round up of events.
I'm sure most people in the Boxer show world will have known the tragic news of this month It has been the most heartbreaking month ever.
Ch /Ir Ch Sandcliffe Snog in the Fog at Jimbren JW, Woody died tragically on the 2nd of Oct from a benign heart based tumour. He will be sorely missed not only by myself but also his owners Brenda and Steve and all who knew him. He was a true gentleman and was loved so much. He leaves us with some wonderful memories. He fulfilled all our hopes and dreams and we are so proud of him.
He has offered so much to the breed already and through his progeny much more to come. Not only was he he a superb showman winning 10 CC & 10 RCC  by breed specialist and all-rounder alike he was a great producer.
He is the sire of UK and Irish champions  namely Ch/Ir Ch Hamlear Hail to Glory (Lucy) owned by the late Eric Cunningham who was awarded the title UK Dog of the Year 2007. Ch Veraleas Dancing Deano at Jimbren who has currently 5CC &  3 RCC at present and a working group win under his belt. Litter brother and sister Ir Ch Jimbren Top Shelf and Ir Ch Jimbren Drunk n Dribblin.
There are some wonderful Woody kids not only here in the UK but in Ireland and Australia waiting in the wings already winning well with green cards ,watch out for them.
 
Three days later on the 5th Oct  I had to say goodbye to Woody's mum Libby, Sandcliffe Vanity Fair at the age of nearly 11. Her back legs had gone and I felt it was my duty to let her go with dignity. She died peacefully in my arms.
She lived a happy and full life and I loved her.
She was a wonderful mum to all her litters and every thing I have here comes down to her,I owe her so much.
Going to shows after all this as you can imagine was very difficult but its testomy to these two wonderfull boxers that  I have their progeny here and show them is what I must do.
Life goes on and I'm looking to the future.

Both the last two dogs are out of Sandcliffe Tranquil sky over Jimbren (Trinny's litter sister)

22nd Sep -Sandcliffe Diamond Sky (Trinny) was mated to Ch Boxken Big Issue (Tramp) .Fingers firmly crossed she takes.

19th Sep - Cotswold Boxer Club Open show - Sandcliife Kiss of Life for Jimbren won Graduate dog. Sandcliffe Tempest storm was fifth in Puppy bitch.

17th Sep - Willrait Early Bird for Sandcliffe  (Robyn) won Best baby puppy at The Cotswold /Oxford branch monthly match. Sandcliffe Tempest Storm (Storm) went through one round.

9th Sep - Sandcliffe Kiss of Life for Jimbren won best adult at the Cotswold Beano match.

6th Sep - British Boxer Club Working day was a very busy day for me and the dogs. They had a go at racing and agility which was great fun . I'm thrilled to say that Sandcliffe Kiss of Life for Jimbren (Oakley) and Sandcliffe Diamond Sky (Trinny) was temperament tested by Ian Dunstall and were graded Excellent. Sandcliffe Sunkissed Rose (Twig) was graded good only let down slightly by the "tied and left alone excersise".the little minx barked for me,everything else she passed with excellent.

5th Sep - The City of Birmingham Champ show under breed specialist Ann Ingram Ch Verileas Dancing Deano at Jimbren won the dog CC.

29th Aug - The Scottish Kennel club under breed specialist Yvonne Miller (Walkon). Ch Verileas Dancing Deano at Jimbren won the dog RCC.

19th Aug - Gillingham & Shaftsbury open show. A lovely day out for my girls just accross the border in Dorset. Sandcliffe Tempest Storm was placed 3rd in puppy, Sandcliffe Sunkissed Rose was also placed 3rd in Post Grad and Sandcliffe Diamond Sky was placed 2nd in Open

3rd Aug - Due to a change of circumstances Sandcliffe Kiss of Life for Jimbren (Oakley) will now be residing back with me in Wiltshire. He has settled in well with my girls and I am very much looking forward to campaigning him again in England. Look out for him this autumn!
He is confidently offered at stud and will now be undergoing all the relevant health checks.

2nd Aug - British Boxer Club Champ Show- Sandcliffe Sunkissed Rose was awarded reserve in novice bitch under breed specialist Eddie Banks.
Ch/Ir Ch Sandcliffe Snog in the Fog at Jimbren JW was awarded first in Veteran dog under breed specialist Helen Banks.

The last three shows have been a very successful for three woody sons namely Burden Opportunist JW at Leeds, Ir Ch Jimbren Drunk n Dribblin at the Britsh Boxer club,and Ch Verileas Dancing Deano at Jimbren at Paignton who were all awarded the RCC. Congratulations to all concerned.

18th Jul - Ch.Verileas Dancing Deano at Jimbren (Woody's son) was awarded the RCC at National Working and Pastoral Champ Show under Swedish Judge Mr Johansson

8th Jul - Beanos super match with Oxford branch.
Sandcliffe Kiss of Life for Jimbren won Best adult and went on to win Best of Match with me handling him, what a thrill!
Judge for the evening was breed specialist Val Pack Davidson who had a fab entry with over 50 dogs in attendance.
Storm got through one round and went well, I was pleased with her
Robyn had a fun evening ,her very first outing and certainly enjoyed meeting all the other puppies.

5th Jul - Sandcliffe Kiss of Life for Jimbren was awarded 2nd junior dog, Ch Sandcliffe Snog in the Fog at Jimbren JW was awarded 1st veteran & Sandcliffe Sunkissed Rose was placed 3rd in Yearling bitch qualifying her for Crufts 2010 at the Windsor Champ Show under Breed Specialist Linda Carnaby.

In Ireland at the The ladies Kennel Association Champ show under breed specialist J Chadwick, Dawn Taylor and Alan Ellis won the Dog green star with Sandcliffe Fun in the Dark and also the reserve dog green star with their woody son Jelcas Flashy Conquest.
 
Congratulations also to Griffin and Keenan's who won the Bitch green star and BOB with Bessbox Jury Lass JNCH ,a woody daughter.

28th Jun - Sandcliffe Kiss of Life for Jimbren was graded excellent and awarded resrve green star, & Blackpol under breed specialist Isabel Edison Walkon Aint no stripes a Woody daughter won first MPB ,well done to the Millers.

21st Jun - Ch.Verileas Dancing Deano at Jimbren (Woody's son) was awarded the CC, Best of Breed and Group 1 at Border Union Champ Show

14th Jun - Congratulations to Brenda & Steve who have 2 new Irish Champions both sired by Ch Sandcliffe Snog in the Fog at Jimbren JW. They are Litter brother & sister Ir Ch Jimbren Drunk'n'Dribling & Ir Ch Jimbren Top Shelf. Woody is now the sire of 2 Uk Champions & 4 Irish Champions.

13th June South Western Boxer club Open show - Sandcliffe Tempest Storm was placed 2nd in special puppy stakes under Sharon Fitzgerald (mydaz)
and 3rd in MPB in the open show under Kevin Fitzgerald (Mydaz)
Sandcliffe Sunkissed Rose was placed 4th in Junior bitch.

I had my 4th Judging appointment judging Boxers at Camberly and District canine society, I found my B.O.B from the Post Grad class winner Whitgar Hugo of Lochinvar and best Puppy was Mynite Melody Maker who succesfully went on to win Working puppy Group 2

19th Apr - Ch Sandcliffe Snog in the Fog at Jimbren was Awarded 1st Veteren at the Merseyside BC

18th Apr - Sandcliffe Kiss of Life for Jimbren was awarded 2nd Junior dog at Working Breeds of Wales, only beaten by his half brother Burnden Opportunist who went on to win the RCC, congratulations to the Pye Family

8th Mar - Crufts was a fab day for 2 Ch Sandcliffe Snog in the Fog at Jimbren sons.
Many congratulations to Brenda and Steve's Jimbren Drunk and Dribblin who was awarded the RCC and to the Pye family with Burnden Opportunist who was awarded Best Puppy in Breed.
 
Oakley and Twig were unplaced on this occasion but went well. I was proud of them.

28th Feb - Dog of the year and Pup of the year .It was lovely to see 3 of Woody sons qualified this year.
Congratulations to Ch Verileas Dancing Deano to Jimbren, Muptar a Lark in the Park at Xandene and Burden Opportunist.
On a personal note, I was thrilled to have been nominated for the BOSCARS "Best newcomer". Thankyou to all that voted for me, It was great just to have been considered.

27th/28th Sept Sandcliffe Kiss of Life for Jimbren gained a 4th at the Irish BC & a 2nd (qualifying him for Crufts 2009) at Belfast Thanks to Brenda Branbury for thinking so highly of him.

16th Sept Poppy (Woody Daughter) has been mated to Ch Walkon Made'n'Issue, Poppy's puppies are due on Poppy Day 11th Nov

21st Aug Ch.Verileas Dancing Deano at Jimbren (Woody son) gained his 3rd and crowning CC today at SKC under Breed Specialist Judy Alton, conratulations to all concerned

16th Aug Sandcliffe Kiss of Life for Jimbren gained a 4th at Welsh Kennel before making the long journey across the Irish Sea to join Brenda & Steve at Jimbren, Many thanks to Barbara (Xandene Boxers) for allowing Oakley to travel with her dogs.

4th Aug  Paignton champ show -Judge allrounder  Mr Gerald Mitchell - third show today and I am thrilled to announce that Sandcliffe Sunkissed Rose gained a third today, qualifing her for Crufts 2009.
Sandcliffe Kiss of life also gained a fifth.
Also many congratulations to the Pye family who won best dog puppy and best puppy in breed with Burden Opportunist a Woody son at his very first champ show..

12th July

National Working and Pastoral breeds champ show — judge allrounder Stuart Mallard - Puppies first day out today and I was very pleased with how they both went and especially pleased when Sandcliffe Kiss of Life who gained a fifth.

1st July.
Today I have decided to let aka "Oakley" reside and be campaigned fully in Ireland.
He will be owned by my good friends Brenda and Steve of the Jimbren Kennel for 2 years after which he will be back with me in England.
This has been a very poignant decision to make but I feel that Oakley will benefit enormously from this experience
while I concentrate on my up and coming planned litters and showing his litter sister "Twiig" here in England.
Oakley will be staying and shown by me up until the 16th August after that he will be off to do the Irish circuit.
I wish him well

8th June Sandcliffe Diamond Sky "Trinny" thrilled us today by passing her KC good citizen bronze award.

Ch.Snog in the Fog has now won 5 C.A.C.I.B 's and is waiting to do his temperament test to give him his INTERNATIONAL Title
